Costume Reel

I finally assembled the projects I have been involved with in Los Angeles over the last 3 years into a reel!

There are clips from the two most recent web series that I worked on: Fallout Nuka Break, and The Mad Monster Lab. Those are both linked to my favorite episodes that have come out so far. I see I need to update my link color settings because they’re a bit…ninja…right now.

[tlr] made the (quite appropriate) song a while back. It used to be on my website home page until I switched over to a blog layout. I’m happy there was a reason to breathe life back into it!

033009 Romak and the Space Pirates video shoot

Almost immediately after the fashion show, tlr and I drove to San Diego to shoot his band’s music video for their cover of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.”  Brandon Like shot/edited/directed it, and let the 6 of us stay at his place, which was 2 blocks away from the beach!  Here’s the finished video:

020109 :: junk animations

My VCR hadn’t worked for several months, so tlr and I decided to take it apart and make stop motion animations out of it’s innards!  The background was a whole project in itself -  several large boxes hot-glued together with regular paper glued/taped on top, which tlr and I were drawing on w/ sharpeys.  But we got a little carried away w/ experimental techniques and ended up covering it in oil, destroying all progress we were making w/ the markers…So we painted over it with some blue and yellow paint I had, but still were no longer able to sharpey it.  Then it sat around useless for a few weeks until we made this video.  And it has been collecting dust ever since…

Well, here are the results ::

“outdated technology makes me sick!”

We discovered pretty quickly that I was more suited to move the pieces, and tlr was better on the camera.  Yay for division of labor :)
