My Aunt was planning a wedding for her friends, and the groom requested Zombie cake toppers. Where do you go, when you need zombie cake toppers? Here! I make zem! ::

the bride and groom, cornered by ravenous zombie
I got galvanized wire at a home improvement store, then made little doll frames. I wrapped them in stuffing, then sewed pantyhose stockings skin over their white, fluffy innards. The clothes were sewn onto the bodies, then the hair, and then their faces were painted on. The final steps were making the chainsaws out of clay, painting the chainsaws, and painting on the blood ::

This zombie was made with stakes in his hands, so he can climb up the side of the cake. The others have stakes in their feet so they stand up.

Go Zombie

Another view of the couple, the grooms expression is hilarious

I did a few rush costumes for a sizzler Matt Bab was making to fund the actual movie. Several occultist robes, some monk robes, and a sacrificial robe. I think it was 11 robes total, done in about a week. Luckily I had a random home-sewing pattern (I hate those) for Star Wars costumes, which included robes that were similar enough to what Matt wanted that I only had to make a few alterations to and reduce the fabric yield a bit.

Monk Robes :: I used black hair spray to age them ever so slightly

Barry, aka Monkey Bucket, has an awesome record label called Bucketron, and he puts on cool shows at the Cocaine (2nd St. Jazz) in downtown Los Angeles. He always wears a fez covered in knick-knacks, but wanted to separate himself from the shiners which he doesn’t want to be associated with so he asked me to customize a few for him! First I took off all the Shriner crap, then I covered them in recycled fabric, then added supplied pieces of ‘flare’, buttons, more recycled fabrics, and some fabric paint. Here are a couple great shots by Marianne Williams:

Romak and the Space Pirates played at Wigout in May, so I made tlr a costume for the Sci-Fi theme. It was made out of scraps from other projects (some from dumpsters), a long zipper, and parts from my VCR which was dismantled earlier this year. Then I splattered paint on it, and tlr drew with silver fabric paint. We also made his wig together out of my old dreadlocks (yes, I saved them) and some dumpster fabric, and more parts from the VCR. Chinashop mag wrote about the show, which took place at the stunning Bordello Bar.

fuck yeah
