Along came a spider, bitches!
I made the spider ladies’ outfits in about 2 weeks and am quite please with the results! Check out the rest of the pix below ::

I had a rack at Kavika Works in the Santiago Art Walk on 10/17, with three totally awesome models creeping around, taping spiders to people and promoting my website. It was a lot of fun, I can’t wait to see the photos! Here are some behind the scenes snapshots that tlr took ::
This was one of my customer who bought the Disfiguring the Goddess disfigured goddess dress! I can see why – it matches her outfit :)

Here’s a pic of the dress in action at my fashion show, modeled by Alecia Patterson ::

One of my models for the evening, Helen Bui :: she’s also a dancer for band Ming and Ping (I made their babies)! She has such a great attitude and personality, it was a blast working with her! She described herself as a walking highlighter, so it was a big difference to be a crazy spider lady for a night!

Helen’s friend Judy, another of my awesome models for the evening ::

Helen’s other friend and my third model for the evening, Kelly ::

John (who was the bouncer at my fashion show!) was my photographer for the evening (pictures coming soon, yay!). He was such a trooper, I was worried about the models’ comfort but never considered all the running around John was doing – so much that his feet were blistered by the end of the night! Brutal…

Myself and the models all gathered around John’s camera to see the immortalized awesomeness…

Uber-high-school pose with me, the models, Romak who did makeup, and John. You can see the artwork in the background, done by Eric Zendejas ::

I will post more thoroughly about the event when I get the real pictures from John!
