I just moved, and about 1/3 of my new living quarters was taken up w/ stuff I don’t want, so tlr and I spent several hours getting pictures of all these clothes that I’m now selling on ebay! Actually we only got thru about half to a third of what’s in there before the heat of the day exhausted us. It’s a pretty intense story of how I came to have this ungodly amount of goth/metal clothing in my possession, involving an ex-boyfriend, an insane girl and her crazy allegations of rape and kidnapping…but it all turned out okay in the end :)

Romak and the Space Pirates played at Wigout in May, so I made tlr a costume for the Sci-Fi theme. It was made out of scraps from other projects (some from dumpsters), a long zipper, and parts from my VCR which was dismantled earlier this year. Then I splattered paint on it, and tlr drew with silver fabric paint. We also made his wig together out of my old dreadlocks (yes, I saved them) and some dumpster fabric, and more parts from the VCR. Chinashop mag wrote about the show, which took place at the stunning Bordello Bar.
Almost immediately after the fashion show, tlr and I drove to San Diego to shoot his band’s music video for their cover of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Brandon Like shot/edited/directed it, and let the 6 of us stay at his place, which was 2 blocks away from the beach! Here’s the finished video:
I had my first fashion show for Insidious Clothing on March 26th! tlr planned most of it using help from his broad network of amazing friends. It was about 6 months of planning, and we learned a LOT for what to do differently next time. But at least there were no serious disasters :)

For Valentines Day, tlr and I made a stuffed-animal-monster backpack together. It was made out of an empty metal coffee tin, with the intention of being a cookie monster since I was baking a shitload of cookies at the time. We hot-glued and stitched him together out of a few severed stuffed animal limbs salvaged from an awesome Kawiettly Please show ::

We filled this guy up with Snickerdoodles and took it to a Darkmatter show, then handed out cookies to anyone who was curious enough to ask what it was :) Liz Ohanesian even pictured us in her LA Weekly article about the event!
